Brad Myers is a third generation civil contractor. Eugene Debbs Myers (Brad’s grandfather ) and his brother Claude Myers started a business together hauling sand and gravel and leveling lots in Fort Worth, Texas during the 1950’s, and 1960’s. In the 1970’s Claudes Son Jerry joined them and Built Myers Excavating in the Lake Worth area. Gene Myers (Brad’s dad) joined them with his own dump truck in the late 1980’s during a short term Layoff . Brad soon took over the one dump truck and learned his business in the Bedford Euless Mid Cities area beginning in 1988. In 1996 Brad graduated from Tarleton State University with a B.S. in Horticulture and Environmental Science and a three year study at UTA in Architecture and Urban Development. He then moved to his current location in Alvord, Wise County and has been operating Myers Contracting AKA Myers Backhoe Service there. A wide variety of services are offered including Property Management, final grade, underground infrastructure, concrete and wet utilities, Natural Gas and oil pipeline maintenance as well as landscaping and Environmental Management.
